The Ted Reese Memorial Scholarship committee is proud to announce the first recipients of the award. In the inaugural year of this annual scholarship, the committee has decided to award two deserving applicants with a $1000 scholarship. These deserving Bonny Eagle wrestlers embody the qualities of excellence on the mat, in the classroom, in leadership, and in character in keeping with the legacy of Coach Reese.
Tristan Day finishes his high school wrestling career as a three-time state qualifier and a state runner-up. In addition to wrestling, Tristan has been a three sport athlete his entire high school career. On the wrestling team, Tristan was the vocal leader. It was common to observe Tristan rallying the team and individuals during competitions throughout the season. Tristan was named a captain because of his hard work and dedication. Tristan has a generous spirit that is evident in his helping with youth and middle school wrestling programs as well as the middle school football team. He hopes to continue coaching young wrestlers in the future. In the classroom, Tristan earned a 2.943 grade point average. We wish him the best at Eastern Maine Community College.
