The Ted Reese Memorial Scholarship is a 501(c) (3) non-profit and was formed in the Spring of 2022 as a way to continue the legacy of legendary Bonny Eagle High School wrestling coach Ted Reese. The scholarship awards one Bonny Eagle High School wrestling senior $1,000 to help with increasing costs of post secondary education. Awarding of the scholarship is based on the ideals and principles that Coach Reese promoted in wrestling and life. Hard work, team work, dedication, modesty, kindness, generosity, and excellence in the classroom and on the mat are a few of the ideals and principles that he treasured most.
Outside of the scholarship we hope to inspire future generations of Mainers to wrestle and give back to the sport with as much enthusiasm as Coach Reese did by promoting wrestling opportunities in the off season.
